ABOUT

Hi there! I'm Charlotte.

This is my free time blog that I run when the creativity flowing like fire through my veins catches a spark and lights up my brain with a story. It's a digital scrapbook of my life's seasons with 80% images and 20% text. I like my photos to tell stories. I like them filled with bokeh and candid character. I like them laughing in colors and feeling in contrast. I feel deeply, and express that feeling through photos and words.

I am an extroverted optimist, with a passion for life, deep contrast, story-telling, and creating.
I am a do-er; the little engine that could, chugging up my hill of life, anticipating the fun ride back down. I discovered photography in my early teens, and fell in love with that medium, using it to remember life in a more tangible, vivid way.

The short & sweet: ESTP; crazy-hair lady; bike ride & canoe lover; lakeside dreamer; web & graphic designer; code geek; fashion & healthy skin care enthusiast; lipstick wearer; unashamed electric-slide line-dancer.

Equipment: Canon EOS 6D, Sigma 50mm F/1.4

Most of all, I am a sinner saved by grace through faith. This is not of myself, but is a gift from God. I have been washed clean through the saving blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is through Him and because of Him that I live, move, and have my being. I am nothing without my Lord, and He is the one who has given me the eye to see the photographs that I capture. He is the ultimate story-teller, creator, gift-giver, and loving Father in Heaven. My faith permeates every inch of my life, and it is my prayer that I will shine the light of Christ in everything that I do.

  3. Since homeschoolers in the same state tend to bump in to each other, I was wondering if you knew the Truax family. I know it's a long hot but they live in OH and I thought it would be cool if you did. :P I love that picture of you, it's so elegant!

  9. You're beautiful in this picture, Charlotte! Sometimes I wish I could wear lipstick like you, but being Filipino, my complexion isn't right for bright red lipstick! I love you and your sister! :)
